Majestic Modifications is a full e-commerce website built using Magento Shopping Cart. This is far from an out-of-the-box website and has over 30 extensions installed. Some of the extensions are community submitted while others are either commercially developed or custom coded for this project. This project was a year in development from start to finish, and is one of the more in-depth projects we have handled. It has an integrated blog, Twitter account, Facebook fan page, article directory, personalized profile pages for account holders, automated vendor notifications, and much more.

SEOteric developed the data for this website over the course of several months including all the images, descriptions, pricing, and categories. The data portion was also SEO optimized to help each product page have a better chance to rank well in the search engines. As of September 2009, the website was drawing traffic from over 7,500 individual keywords with 15,000 - 20,000 visitors each month.

Majestic Modifications has a custom theme modeled after the logo. The most important things were to have easy navigation, optimized product pages, and easy checkout. This was accomplished by keeping a clean flowing design, using bright contrasting call to action buttons, and keeping the search and user experience intuitive. We wanted the site to look nice, but to not lose the functionality in design elements. For an e-commerce store, simplicity is ultra important.

We also developed and designed a Twitter page and a Facebook fan page both modeled after the website. The Facebook page has the ability to do a custom search right on Facebook to find parts for your car, which directs you to the search results on Majestic Modifications. We hope this turns into a great lead generation tool in the future as our fan base grows. The twitter page is also themed after the website with a clean, branded design with contact info and web address on the page background.

Majestic Modifications is built using Magento's Framework. We have added over 30 extensions to the core software increasing the features of this site. The success story of Majestic Modifications begins with our national SEO campaign. We set out to find high volume and high conversion keywords to get traffic on our site and increase our exposure. We wanted to build the brand, and the first place to start was by getting brand recognition. We targeted keywords like car accessories, aftermarket auto parts, car modifications, aftermarket car accessories, and related phrases. These were highly competitive, and took months to rank for. We are now on the first page for almost every major keyword related to car accessories.

We didn't want to stop there though. We looked at each product page and built the data to increase each product pages' individual relevance. This proved to be equally successful as over 7500 keywords were bringing in traffic. When we started marketing, we knew it would be six to nine months before we saw the kind of results we were looking for. As of September 2009, the website has 15,000 - 20,000 visitors per month (on average). The break down of traffic sources is 85% search engine traffic, 8% referring websites, and 7% direct traffic. All the search engine traffic is organic, with NO expenses for PPC advertising.

There were 7609 keywords bringing in traffic (according to Google Analytics). These figures have been consistent since early 2008 through a few Google updates, and many keywords have still been improving over time. The site hovers around a Google Page Rank 4, and is currently a Google Page Rank 3 due to more outgoing links on the homepage. Custom Biography Website With Enhanced Photography


Simple Biography Website with Logo Design

Ronnie Jordan's biography website was built with simplicity in mind. Ronnie wanted a clean design in white and blue that was simple, clean, and professional. He also wanted the enphasis on the images, so we created the slideshow on the homepage to show off the photography.

The photography was meant to be comical and "larger than life" in many respects. The enhancement made to the images give them a cartoon like feel, adding to his bio's first impression.

Design and Development

The design was a simple, professional layout featuring links to Ronnie's other services. He wanted to link to his Facebook page, Twitter account, and other services. We went with the blue and white custom theme to put the emphasis on the images. Our photographers staged the photos, and our designers enhanced and polished the images for the website.

The website was built with just a few static pages. We tend to build CMS driven websites, but Ronnie didn't want a blog or any real pages, other than the links to his outside accounts. He did request an integrated calendar, which we developed as a module of his Google calendar. He also linked his Demo Reel from the home page so people could get a "taste" of what he was about. You will also notice the Hi-Res images, which are HUGE image files. We don't usually put images this big on a website, but these images are used for promos and other things, so they were linked in their original file sizes.

Photography and Image Enhancements

The photography and the links to external services were the main points of this website. The images created from the original photography were designed to have a slightly cartoonish look, catching "serious" moments and displaying them in a comedic way.

Graphic and images go a long way to build credibility, create the desired first impression, and tell the story you want to tell. These images were hand selected to do just that - give a quick snapshot of Ronnie, grab the attention of the visitors, and get them to view the demo. From there, Ronnie hopes that people will see his acts and find a show near them to see him in person. All of his appearances are on his homepage calendar.

The TSD Capital Group website was designed following trends in the financial markets. We went with the color scheme that TSD picked from a miriad of choices, and developed the website in Wordpress. We also helped TSD develop their new logo and the catch phrase "We Play Defense."

Going into this project, we knew we had some tight guidelines to follow for two reasons: we were working on a website in the financial industry which is highly regulated, and we were working on a site for a franshise of a major corporation. Website Design and Development

When we started the project with TSD, they didn't have a logo (they were actually changing names), and didn't have a color shceme. Our designer created a few options of color schemes, and they chose the blues in the theme. They wanted a "sterile, professional, and corporate type design" that gave them a first impression of credibility, trust, and comfort. The blue color scheme lends itself to a more comforting, cooling tone, and that can go a long way when you are talking about a financial website.

Wordpress was set up to have multiple template files, a contact form, financial calculators, static pages and dynamicly generated pages. It took 6 months to get everything approved by the parent company, and we are finally launching and starting the marketing strategy.

Working in Highly Regulated Markets for Franchisees

This website proved to be a unique challenge for SEOTERIC. We began the development in January 1020, and as of June 1020, we still are working on the approval process. The website itself probably has 5-6 weeks of actual development time, and many weeks of waiting on approval from the large parent company. For most companies this might not be a desirable thing, and it does have its difficulties, but we believe in developing long-term relationships with our clients. We are not a "develop and done" website company. Wordpress CMS with Custom Design and Local/Regional SEO

Mobile IT Solutions had a flash based website with a black and red color scheme and wanted to have a "fresh, updated look and feel while preserving some of what people are used to seeing." We went with the black and red at their request, and lightened up the colors a little. We moved to a CMS (Wordpress) so they could update content as needed, and so we could include some functionality that they have been wanting for some time now.

We also picked up the marketing and expanded the scope to include Athens, Alpharetta, and yes - even Atlanta. We are targeting some competitive keywords in there industry, and so far we have a first page result for most of our keywords bringing in over 1800 page views per month on average (with 800 unique visitors).

We created the theme from a blank Wordpress theme and designed the site from scratch. We knew the look and feel should be easy to navigate, easy to read, and not to hard on the eyes even though we were using a black background. We toned down some colors, lightened the reds, and put all of our calls to action in the eye-catching red buttons against the black background. Mobile IT Solutions Director of Sales gave us a lot of input as to what he wanted on the site, and created most of the content that is published.

Mobile IT used an existing design to create the graphics themselves for the Facebook Fan Page. We took the website design and created the header for the Twitter page, and made sure to include the contact info on the left side in full view at standard resolutions.

The website was built using the Wordpress CMS framework. We knew they wanted to host a blog, have regular updates, and have a database driven CMS. We chose Wordpress due to its flexibility, feature lists, and easy user interface for end users. We installed a few extensions and plug-ins to automate twitter updates, make blog posting easier, improve the WYSIWYG editing, and to speed up the website.

It is hosted on our VPS hosting with plenty of RAM memory to quickly produce pages, and to handle larger amounts of traffic from the growing number of visitors the site is receiving. The first thing we did was get them a Google Local Business Listing, a Yahoo! listing, and list them in a number of business directories around the area. Then we started looking at organic rankings for terms people use to find IT Support. Our focus was growing from Athens to include Alpharetta and Atlanta to give Mobile IT Solutions a presence in the larger markets.

The goal is to steadily build relevance for a growing list of keywords, and get top 5 results (above the fold) for all the keywords. With this approach, traffic will increase, and so will the amount of leads generated through the webite.

SolarFlex Green Drupal CMS Website With Custom Theme

SolarFlex Technologies requested a website that was "GREEN" and "CLEAN" since they are a solar energy system contractor. They had a logo created prior to contacting us, and turns out there were two mistakes in the logo that we found. Luckily, we were able to help them correct the issue before they went to press with business cards and stationary saving them a few hundred dollars.

This website was built using Drupal, a full content management solution. We really like it because of its flexibility, scalability, and back-end technology that we can train our customers to use. It has some custom features requested by the client, such as a Snap Preview integration, rotating banner images, custom contact form for pre-qualifying leads, an RSS feed display on the home page, and a LIVE preview of their Solar Monitoring System that shows solar output in REAL-TIME through a web interface.

Custom Website Theme Design

We added this site to our profile because a lot of customers have told us how much they like the colorful yet clean design of this site, so we decided to go ahead and add it to the portfolio and track its progress. This theme was built around an existing logo that SolarFlex Technologies had already developed. One of the things we do well is taking an existing logo and building a website around it. The SolarFlex guys were really happy with how this developed. Funny story - we helped save their company several hundred dollars by finding an error in their "final" logo design just before they went to print with business cards and letterhead. They were able to get the original company to correct the mistake before everything was printed.

We used a lot of gradients (transitions from one color to another) and lighting effects on this site since it was a solar website. We also used a lot of white space and green elements to keep it simple and green. We also took some PDF files and brochures and seamlessly integrated those images into the website.

The Residences at 755 is a luxury living complex in Athens, GA. It needed a classic yet elegant logo that said "luxury", and a website that conveyed how you felt while you were there. The answer was an elegant, regal theme with enhanced photography to let the images do the talking.

The photography was probably the biggest part of the website, because we needed to give away enough to intrigue, but withhold enough to entice a visit. The views from the building are spectacular and the rooms are magnificent, and we worked hard to find the right mix of images to bring the building to life online.

When designing this theme, we wanted the images and photography to stand out more than the website theme itself. We decided to go with a black and gray-scale theme and pull your attention to the images. Everything was based off of the logo design, which was done with a luxury script and background design.

The Facebook avatar and the Twitter page design was modeled after our website design. We emphasized the logo on the twitter page by turning it sideways and having it go the full height of the page on the left side, and modified the color scheme in the Tiffany blue found on the website and in the Twitter logo to give it a classy, seamless look.
